I'm up to 9 Matrix Duesenbergs, plus two on order. Bot this is their first pre-J/SJ - looking forward to it.

Anyone else notice the the back of the headlights on this model seem to look strange?

I hope that's a prototype issue that will be resolved.

Very hard to find a decent shot of this detail on the real car, but the headlamps do seem to be contained in chrome "drums" with no "tailcone" behind the lamp.

Duesenberg 1

This slightly fuzzy image below does seem to suggest that the rear of the light fitting was indeed exposed inside that chrome housing, as on the model.

Duesenberg 2

I found one photo of the car with conventional chrome "cones" at the rear of the lamp housings, but since those aren't visible on most pictures of the car, they may be a non-standard addition (or maybe Duesenberg later revised the styling of the lamps?).

Duesenberg 3

On that (admittedly flimsy) evidence, maybe the strangely unfinished look to the back of the headlamps on the Matrix could be correct. But I am not a Duesy person, so what do I know?

@graeme-ogg The last picture strikes me as a J or SJ, with the radiator ornament typical of those models. I have this Minimarque 1923 Duesenberg Model A with the 'can' shaped headlights - they filled them in. And the radiator mascot seems similar to the proposed Matrix.
