I got this in a trade in 1986 from a noted Porsche model collector. It represents a 1960 Porsche 356B sports with a closed top and was introduced in 1962 (not one of the later reissues). Schuco's clockwork motors were legendary (see Mike DeTorrice's recent post). I used to have their '57 Ford, and still have some of their 1980's reissued larger antique cars - when wound up they will shimmy and shake in neutral!

Harv, you'll enjoy this one.  My Porsche Micro-Racer came in a red box and looks newer than yours.  Early 1970s perhaps?  I got it at the Games Store in Nashville, USA, along with a few Teknos in the late 1970s!  It was very expensive back then (check out the price tag!) but the only one I ever saw for sale in the US! 🤔   There was no label on the box except for that part number, but it is a Porsche Carrera 6 (1966).

@karl Incredibly, I bought one of these at that same store! Games Imported wasn't it - in Green Hills? Or 100 Oaks - I forget. I sold it after getting several Carrera 6 models from others. I got a few Solido L'Age d'Or models there too.

@mg-harv Yep, some Solidos too from the "Games Store" in Green Hills, near where we lived.  The price sticker on top of the box still has their name!
