Hi Harv,
What a coincidence. I was preparing a short feature on the first Honda Accord. I bought a demo model, silver in 1978 and followed it up with a 1979 new one in bronze. It was a wonderful little car. Here is mine back then and a model of it by YONEZAWA TOYS under the DIAPET label. This also has right wheel steering like your Ebbro.
This is Diapet issue G-55, made in Japan. I have the box but not shown here.
Two great colors of gold! Such a little Accord!

I am looking forward to your short feature on the Accord. Though we have never owned an Accord, we have owned many Civic's. I also remember test driving a Honda in the early 1970's. I do not remember the model, but I think it had a 2 cylinder engine.

Hi Ed,
What you see is my short feature above on the first series Accord. They were small compared to today, indeed the Civic is now much larger than that first Accord.
I do have several Hondas in 1/64 which I will post at some point. These include Accords and Civics.
Regarding 2 cylinder motorcycle derived engines, Honda sold a Honda N600 and Z600 in the USA from 1968 to 1972. This may be the one you test drove. Over 40,000 were imported.
