This week I hope to post my Mercury diecasts made in the 1960s. My first Mercury was an Alfa like this, only in metallic green. Having acquired it as a teen, I though I could improve it by remaking it into a race car, but that never when anywhere after the paint had been removed. Later on I replaced it with this one.

Very nice Harv. Mercury made a lot of really well made models for the time of mainly Italian cars. I really like this one.

I started out my 1/43 Alfa collection on these Mercurys and Politoys.  Great castings that were hard to find when new outside Italy.

The older Mercurys were reproduced by Scottoy in Italy a while ago, starting in 1993/4 and ending around 2006/7.  More recently the Mercury partworks has re-introduced them (made in China).  All of these were probably less than 1/43 scale...  Here are some Giuliettas from all three companies.
