I missed yesterday so I will make up for it with 2 1/2 diecasts today. First up is French Dinky 524, which I found in a hobby shop in the late 1960s for the princely sum of 75 cents. Dinky did not change the base after renumbering the car from No. 24E.
Between Dinky's metal model and a plastic one by Norev, JEP took the middle approach with a diecast base and plastic body. JEP only made five 1/43s, all typical French cars of the 1950s. Here is mine with their Peugeot 403.
The lowly Dauphine was able to place 1st overall in the 1958 Monte Carlo rally. This is Ixo No. RAC103 from 2006, and I would expect the mold was used for David's Atlas model.
