What would be the best one to look at about accuracy and detail if I just want one ? Resin of course.
Anybody has one of the KESS Duesenbergs?
@nickies I have two of the Kess Duesenberg models and both are superb. The two I own are the Blue Clear Vision Sedan by Murphy 1929 and the Model J Torpedo Berline in off white by Rollston 1932. Personally I favor the Rollston body style by a small margin.
I thought Minichamps "banged out" a few good 1/43 Duesenbergs, no?
@chris They did two in resin - a silver SJN convertible coupe by Rollston from the Nethercutt collection, and a J Murphy convertible coupe boattail (Chassis 2199/J-178 [now J-414]) in red, aluminum, and burgundy.
Only 6 of the disappearing top Murphy roadsters were made, but at least one was made as a recreation on a Duesey chassis. This was modeled by Automodello in almost the same colors as the Minichamps but it represents Chassis 2492, Engine J-249 as far as I can tell. AM also did one of these Murphy cars like the one in the A-C-D museum.
That's an amazing display of so many Duesenbergs.

@kenspear You have the elusive Queen of Diamonds in your collection!
@mg-harv There is one for sale on Ebay but the silver paint pigment looks pretty rough. How is yours?
The paint isn't smooth as silk, but rough spots are hardly noticeable with the naked eye on my model.

@nickies Thanks. I’m interested but not at the price he’s asking. That’s 4 x the original issue price.
@randyrusk Do you have the B&G Duesenberg 20 Grand? Does the paint is glossy and shiny?
There is one for sale on Ebay but the close up pictures don't convince me that it is a quality model. The brightwork also looks dull.
