@bob-jackman Do you have the Pierce-Arrow and how do they compare together about quality and detail accuracy?

@nickies Yes I have the Pierce Arrow along with the two Duesenbergs. My only fault with the Pierce is the bumpers which look toylike. The bumpers are double bars with separation between them but on the model the separation isn't clean. If I were adding only one, it would be either of the Duesenbergs.

@bob-jackman Thanks for your detailed comments. How are the wheels and tires on the Duesenbergs? Are the chrome spokes sharp?

I think I would go with the Silver Berline to add only one Duesenberg to my collection.

@nickies The chrome spokes look sharp and the traditional Duesenberg hub caps are to scale.

@nickies If you are referring to the MC, mine is great. Of course, the B&G is as close to flawless as you can get in this scale.

@mg-harv I was referring to the B&G I saw pictures on Ebay. The paint seems dull and not shiny. I finally ordered a KESS Rolston Berline.

The B&G is Duesenberg is superb. One of the finest models I have ever seen with my own eyes. Metallic paint on a small-scale model is very hard to photograph, especially silver; the metallic elements always look out of scale. These are the best photos that I was able to take of that model, but they don't even come close to doing it justice. The paint is plenty glossy, but there are only certain angles where you can see the reflections that demonstrate that. I believe that the chrome pieces that are not highly polished are actually cast brass pieces. In real life, it is a thing to behold.

I have included a photo of another B&G Duesenberg that better shows the quality of the finish that B&G puts on their models. IMO, they are worth every penny.

Great pics, Dave! I agree that getting the luster of an EMC model is difficult to accomplish with our cameras. You need a lot of light to get it right, but you always run the risk of making the metallic fleck look overexaggerated. You did a nice job here. For someone who has not seen them in person, this is easy to miss.
