I love that car it was the first car i owned and drove.

Headlights were crude, missing most of the 1:1's insignia, and when
Brooklins were about $50, these Ertl 1:43 models were a tenth of that. And I'm in agreement with Galen. I still like them. Here's one of my favorites:

Here's some modifications I did on these inexpensive diecasts
A four door sedan, a two door sedan (replica of a former family car) a convertible and the wagon is a Franklin Mint
These were done decades ago but now there are "factory" made four doors and a convertible by MiniChamps in a Ford commemorative series.

Considering the Ertl is zamak, cutting new door lines must have been very difficult.
