What happened to the 1958 Packard coupe and wagon ? Not sure many of us need another Edsel wagon
I agree with Tim.
A few months ago I contacted Alex ,the Esval Chairman,to find more about Packard and this was his response after send the pix of the Packard pointing some defect ..
Thank You for Your follow up and suggested improvements.The photos of the model shown on our website are of the first design prototype.This is not a production model,this is just the first prototype.We are incorporating many improvements to this model,including those that You point out.We anticipate that the next design prototype will be ready in about 2 or 3 months.
The production level model will be significantly more improved and detailed. We hope to release this project in the fourth quarter of this year or in the first quarter of next year,We will certainly share the updated photos on our website when the next design prototype is available.
No, maybe we don't need another Edsel. But for anyone of a refined aesthetic sensibility (like you and me) the subtle delicacy of this one is surely irresistable.

@graeme-ogg, if only it had two more colors...hmmmm.....

If wishes could come true, which colours would those be, then?
And please, PLEASE don't post a picture by way of reply. Just whisper it quietly and our imagination will do the rest.

The Coral/White 2-door is actually a Roundup.

And here's another Roundup, a conversion of a Villager. I seem to be beating the production fellows with these things.

@tim-hart If they offer an Edsel Roundup wagon (2dr.) I would definitely be interested; otherwise I have enough Bermudas/Villagers.
@graeme-ogg, green and pink....
As a matter of fact, when they carried out the real ambulance conversion they did use those additional colours on the chassis rails, sump, the underside of the fuel tank and the rear leaf springs.
To most people, the finished vehicle looked pretty good on the road. Of course, what happened later to the chassis maintenance guys was a bit of a tragedy, but the ambulance operator did provide them with guide dogs for life, free of charge.

Gonna have to get an ambulance, given the Memphian bodywork, for my Tennessee cars subcollection. Not sure of the two-tone blue + red combo, but the other two are authentic.
