Esval's Cadillac Eldorado wagon. Pics. Damn it's so unattractive.

Poor Eldorado 1972, you're so beautiful, what have they done to you !
Well, taste is a very personal thing. I know... Subjective of course.
But I won't say that I find those Cadillac beautiful. Worst, I find them horrible. Esval has probably chosen to reduce some of the worst conversions-customs of some ultra niche and obscure coach builders of that time. A time where some guys thought that Eldorados could look cool with a kind of an AMC Pacer design language. Not only Esval picked the worst one from 1972, IMO, ( with transformed front and rear wheel arches) but they also haven't picked a nicer one for 1974 ( not shown here ), with a totally different rear quarter panel and bumper than the 1974 Eldorado model year. They were more elegant wagon in 1970-76 for sure. This one maybe ?

At least, maybe the ASC Customs or ultra kitsch flamboyant "SuperFly Pimp mobiles" of the same area could have been a more extravagant and original subject.
These 1972 preprod samples are just as unappealing as the real one, but not because Esval did a bad job. Not an impressive one either. Still, windows PE parts are really massive and front are overall very boxy. Grille's so so too, A pillar's wrong, and I won't talk about the windshields.
And what about the colour of the second version !. Brown !!!
Think about it....a Cadillac Eldorado Wagon Brown ! talking about grace and elegance...
And talking about brown, the 1974 Eldo wagon's version was not shown at Nuremberg...Well, it's maybe for the best. If only Esval could stop the disaster now !.
Why making 2 different years when one is already too much ?
Thanks for the news, pictures, and comments, Jean.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To some.....Ugly, but to others something totally different and worthy of a resin model to go into their collection. The one thing I personally see is that the wagons need white walls.
Definitely whitewalls and full wheel covers! No U.S. buyer would order one without those.
I agree but think the models in the showcase still have mock-up wheels

Another silly oddball.
All while there are so many unrepresented Cadillac subjects from the era. Even a stock 70s Eldorado would be welcome.
The late 70s, 80s, and 90s are better represented despite their relative unimportance from a 1:1 collector value standpoint.
Amusing novelty subjects can be fun to collect, but not at this price.
