Overall, the Brooklin 1946 Pontiac is not a bad model aside from a too tall windshield but I never understood why the chrome trim is so dull. My only other Brooklin model is the NB Center 1940 Lincoln Coupe and the chrome is flawless.
Excellent late-1940s Pontiacs ! Pontiacs, from their beginnings, through Silver Streaks, Bonnevilles, GTO's, GP's and beyond were always stylish automobiles and make for great scale models.

The chrome on mine is also dull however the chrome on the maroon version that was done by Jaff Lane is flawless.
Jeff Lane sold a special version of the Brooklin 1946 Pontiac earlier this year under his Second City Motors name. I saw one at Countryside show in March. It had more details and different color. Maybe someone can add a picture of this model.
Regarding the dull finish on the grille and bumpers of the BRK '46 Pontiac blue/grey; has anyone asked for replacement parts via Mo Brown?
When I received the model, I complained about this issue directly to Brooklin. They sent me new bumpers and grille but they were mostly the same. I never replaced them because the base plate is glued with a very strong adhesive to the cabin tub. I finally got a complete new model but the chrome trim is much of the same.
@jcarnutz Thanks for your pictures. The bumpers seem to have the same dull finish but the grill looks better. The visor is a nice added touch to lower the too tall windshield.
What about the side trim? Is it scraped with added badges?
Look closely ..... the chrome plating is sub standard and not shiny on the top side of the front bumper even on the latter edition and the grille is the same. I received a replacement of the original one at the time but while it was better, by no means it was close to acceptable for a model in this price range.
It always bring me to the same comment about Brooklin models. If there are production quality issues, just delay and take time to fix the problems and don't rush models that really need refinements and fine tuning before going on the market.
Wonderfil range of Pontiacs. The model by Brooklin is amazing but if it has the problems with chrome, it csn upset very much. In my opinion, Brooklin is luxuryous snd prestigious brand and the quality problems must be solved immediately
@fred-eliseeff, Harvey has been collecting for many years and is a noted model reviewer. He says the models look fine to his practiced eye, and they look fine to me as well. We've only heard one complaint.
