....mine too.  Compared to today's resins and advanced Brooklin's, this diecast FM's a bit dated but it's held up and still looks pretty good - and it has an opening hood & doors!  😀

And a miniature engine for extra interest.

Photo looks great!!

I have a few of FM's early 1/43rds and they really do stand up top time; especially with opening doors and hood.

I never bought every 1/43 scale FM model but ended up with quite a few. For the most part I liked the models but the quality was all over the board. The best of the best IMO is the 59 Ford Skyliner with it's operating top.

A few of them left quite a bit to be desired (‘58 Edsel, ‘51 Merc, ‘55 Chevy). My favorites are the ‘50 Rambler and the ‘52 Desoto.

Yes,  the Desoto was nice enough (and relatively inexpensive) for me to do some other variations.

1952 Desoto X4

1952 Desoto coupe #1
1952 Desoto convt LH side
1952 Desoto coupe #2
1952 Desoto wagon

Agree on both points Bob; some of those FM-43s were awful - 1951 Mercury.  😫    The best was their 1959 Skyliner.  😀

For Bob 3
For Bob 2
For Bob 1
