1/50 to 1/43.the correct size to me is Praiser German manufacture.I always hope that some manufactures make Police traffic figures in different positions. Preiser did Us Police figures very interesting but in 1/87 scale only unfortunately.

I’ve found the site arttista.com when I was needing figures for my O gauge trains. They make their own figures and you can select from hundreds of individual ones at very reasonable prices. You can get them either painted or not. All are pewter and well done.

 These figures are 1/48 scale, but seem to better go with the 1/43 scale then Preiser which are a bit larger and can usually only be purchased in a set. Also Woodland Scenics makes some good figures, but again you must buy them in a set.

I think the Atlantic Case 1/43 figures are very good-but too expensive.  Once in a while you can find them at lower prices.
