Ive wanted the '58 Chevy Yeoman in blue for some time ever since David K. popularized its trips to the Vineyard. A great casting, and being a base level trim of a workhorse subject, there was little brightwork needed for its realistic look.
The 'Bray seller described it as new and unopened [presumably other than for photos], and was finally at a 'doable' price. Photos to follow.
My wife will be amused if I take it along to photograph in varied settings....Hey Lynn, you have your collecting passions as well.

Mark; Congratulations on your purchase. Just for laughs try reversing the white wall tires and see what you think of the effect. I have the cream one and put black tires on it (David K. suggestion). IMO it looks much better and is a more accurate representation of how this car was seen on the roads back in the day.
Mark, congratulations on finding a Silver Blue ‘58 Chevrolet Yeoman! They are hard to find. I look forward to your pictures of it. Yes, by all means take it along with you for photo shoots in various settings! Some years ago, Jeannie and I were in London. I had found a model of a London Taxi. As we were walking down the street I saw what would be a perfect back drop for a picture of the taxi. I stopped, took the model out of the bag, unboxed it, and placed it on a stone ledge, and pulled out my camera as this was before cell phones with cameras. Crouched. on the sidewalk I started taking pictures. When I had finished and prepared to resume our walk, I noticed that Jeannie was nowhere in sight. She had lost herself in the crowd thinking, “I do not know this man!”. To some of us this is perfectly normal behavior. To others perhaps not so much.

Definitely reversing those tires. It looks a bit embarrassed wearing WWs --rather like a carpenter showing up in wingtips.
Somehow, whitewalls seem appropriate on a two tone paint scheme such as this one in Anniversary Gold over Honey Beige done by John White.
But in Silver Blue solid tone the car does look best with black tires.
