Wonderful group Gene. I only wish I had room for firetrucks as I love them.
@bob-jackman Thanx, Bob. The details on these are great, given the scale. My only nit-pick is with the headlight "lenses" on all three, but especially on the Foxes.
I wish they were bigger......or we were smaller !!..........Wonderful Specimens Alll
Very cool! Are they all Matchbox Collectibles?
@john-barry HA! Thanx, John. The pinstriping and scrollwork are really well done.
@monteverde802 I have an appreciation(?) of the old Macks as being hard steel surfaced and practically indestructible......the Mack in particular is a stunner
@john-barry Yeah, John. The "B" model Mack has become quite the classic with old truck collectors. I have quite a few of them in my collection, but in scales other than 1/43rd....
@monteverde802 Thaaaaaat`s the truck that ate my knees and elbows back in the day
......my closest in the collection is a Mack Holmes Wrecker

You actually drove "B" models, John? Most of the guys I have spoken with who did said the cabs were really tight and they were forever banging their knuckles on the windshield and vent window. They much preferred the roomier "L" model.....
@monteverde802 they spoke the truth Gene.....as a 6' driver, you were tossed around like a potato in a shredder....Roadway always specced the cheapest day cab units (and paid the most to drive `em).....thinking back on it,it wasn`t unlike those TV shows where they pay you to do foul things to see how much amusement they can get for their money
the vent window was akin to a bear trap
......no power steering, your arm resting on the window sill with thumb and forefinger spanning the vent window upright......hit a pothole and you got to meet God
the dash and door "trim" were on par with the old army deuces....everything was cold hard steel and they "literally" cut no corners
@karl Who made those, Karl? Tekno?
