for Ford fans
Here's an old favorite that doesn't show up too often. It's the Rio Ford 999 of 1902. Ford himself, so the story goes, raced 999 on frozen lakes, and it was also driven by Barney Oldfield. There was a mention of this Rio a couple of weeks ago and I thought of it tonight. Enjoy!

WOW I've never seen the 999 in 1/43. Here's its big brother in 1/18

Unbelievable detail. The figure? Thanks for posting.
Details.. details... details....
The only thing this model doesn't do is fire up. Even the crankshaft and pistons work.
I scratchbuilt the figure from bits and pieces and a whole lot of epoxy putty and lead foil.

I really appreciate those close ups!
Great Model
Is it bought or scratch built?
BTW I believe Brumm also did a 999 in 1:43
The model is by Exoto. The figure only was scratchbuilt.
