Ford GT40 MK II Gulf, 1968 24h LeMans Winner, #9 driven by Lucien Bianche and Pedro Rodriguez

This model arrived yesterday. It was a mix up as I had ordered the 1966 #1 Ken Miles and Denny Hulme car as seen in the Ford Vs. Ferrari movie.

This model is made by NOREV and I like it enough to keep it. It reminds me of the 1980s SOLIDO models with clean casting and opening features.

Here is what I had ordered. I will try again.

Don't forget the old Jouef model. It was quite the deal at the time and still looks great.

That is still one of my all time favourite metal castings Rich. Thanks for the great images.

I had the Joueff and, despite all the features and detail, sold it when I got the Ixo, then sold that in favor of (you can guess here) Spark. The overall shape of the Joueff is just off. Here's the Spark (1968 version):

Yes Harv. I agree that the Spark issue is the most accurate in 1/43 scale so far. I have it along with built Starter and Provence Moulage resin ones.

I agree about the Joueff being slightly distorted, but despite that I love all the opening features and the 'weight'. Enough so that I also got their #6 1969 Winner.

I certainly did not need this Norev version, but once I had, despite all my variations, I had to keep it.

@david-green I have the #1 car by Ixo, which is pretty good (the Minichamps #2 car is a better casting).
