It's been a while since I finished a project, but here's what I just completed today. I had fun with this one, especially modifying the Veggie bed with an extension. Here's the project in process:
And then something different popped up!
Final assembly was fun, perhaps because everything fit together. And here is the result!
Best wishes from an old coot having fun.

Most impressive! I love that the vegetables are individual pieces! Nice work, David. Thanks for sharing.

What a fun project David. That vegetable rear deck is unique and makes for an impressive display.
Like the youthful portrait with your brother. I have a similar one with my two younger brothers. Quite a time machine. I tend to think about family history more at this time of year.
Thanks for sharing both the Ford Model A fruit wagon and your picture.
It came out nice....love your solution for fruit, good choice!
And here is a much later one, a 1954 Chevrolet, just before these canopy express trucks faded into history.
The start was with this Road Champs.
And the end result.

Thank you for your good comments, gentlemen. I also like John's version! As for the picture, a cousin found it recently while closing his mother's estate (my mother's sister), and he sent me several. I couldn't resist tacking it on. Enjoy!
Nice work David. The produce looks great!
Really well done...both projects.
David and John, both of those fruit trucks are incredible. That Model A came out beautifully. The Nostslgic Miniatures kit must date back to the 1970’s as Bob Brennan was working on producing those when we lived in Westborough. I was delighted to see your post of one so beautifully completed.
John, your ‘54 Chevrolet fruit truck is a beauty too! I can remember seeing them at local farmers’ markets. I also remember one at Bartlet’s Apple Orchard in Richmond, Massachusetts in the Berkshires near where I grew up. Nice work!
Also found your article in Model Automobile Review as I was looking for pictures of actual fruit trucks.

Amen to what you so well said David.
Here is another for what it's worth but does not have the personality of the others.
With brighter colored fruit via flash

Cheers and Happy Collecting,

That Preiser HO fruit goers great in the 1/43 truck! Great idea, man! 😎
