While many of you were at the Chicago Countryside show this weekend, I had a booth at the Toronto CTCS show in Etobicoke. It was an excellent show with a strong public turn-out which I was glad to see. Biggest seller for me was higher end stuff from Brooklin, GML, Neo etc.

Best part was catching up with a lot of old friends as well as several members of The Diecast Zone.

I did not buy much myself but did pick up this 1990 Franklin Mint issue to complement My Classic Cars of the Fifties set.

This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible in Matador Red fits right in with the typical Franklin Mint 1/43 models of that era.

That model looks very nice. Someday I would like to see one of these FM cars with opening doors and hood. Would you be able to take a close up photo of engine? I wonder how detailed it is.

Hi Ed,

Hard to do as hood does not open very wide. Here is what I have.

I'd completely forgotten about that model. I had to check my database to see if I have it, I do. It must still be packed, 'cause it's not out on display.
