David H. showed earlier the 1950 Nash Rambler which was one of the nicer more accurate models in this series. It got me thinking about the other 'Nash" from the 1960s series.

The highly successful series of the Classic Cars of the Fifties was followed in 1989 by a similar series of twelve cars of the sixties.

Here is the Franklin Mint 1963 Rambler Classic 660 4-door Sedan. RT31 from that series. Not as accurate in my opinion.

The Rambler Classic is an intermediate sized automobile that was built and sold by American Motors Corporation (AMC) from the 1961 to 1966 model years.
With the 1963 Rambler  Classic, American Motors reached the pinnacle of prosperity. This one has opening doors and hood.

I agree, I would have left this one at the store.

I agree with David's assessment of the Franklin Mint '63 Rambler, but I really like their depiction of its engine.

Sorry for that toothpick, but FM didn't put a positive stop on mine.

Here's my favorite of the era's Ramblers:

But I have spots for both of them!

Maybe I'm being perverse but I have the FM and after checking against various photos I don't think it was too bad at all and I'm quite happy with it as a depiction of the car.

The Brooklin is OK, in a heavy old Brooklin sort of way, but that terrible narrow front track looks really bad.

The Franklin Mint was a good donor car for this station wagon.

This is a 1/43 Rambler Classic from the Argentina partswork collection. Problem is trying to pick one up at a decent price with reasonable shipping.

@graeme-ogg I agree with you on all fronts but remember that "narrow track" is an EASY-PEAZY fix!

Yes, there are lots of interesting vehicles in these series but the shipping is usually pretty costly.   Since the diecast tooling has been created I keep hoping they will show up in other model lines.
