From My Brooklin Collection... Post #021

I have always been a big fan of the Hudson brand, as early as I can remember the Hudson name came up in conversations with family members when I was a kid. My Grandfather had a 1930 Hudson Touring Car stored in his son's garage for years. It had never been running in my lifetime. Whenever we would go to my Uncle's house we would see it and were even allowed to sit in it. It seemed so huge when I was little. In the early 70s, my Uncle moved to Northern Michigan and the Hudson was towed and moved to my Great Uncle's garage. We didn't visit him as often, but did occasionally see it. My Grandfather passed away in the early 80s and since no one in the family wanted the car-it was sold. I don't really know the particulars of that sale. With that, the Hudson brand has always been interesting and I would seek them out at every car show I attended. In 2012, I began taking photographs with my new camera at the shows I attended. One of the shows that was always on my list every year was the Orphan Car Show in Ypsilanti and at that show in 2014, I saw what I thought was one of the most beautiful Hudson convertibles I had ever seen. I was just beginning to discover Brooklin models and after this show I recalled seeing photos of a couple '54 Hudson models in their lineup. I was thrilled to see that this on offered was almost exactly like the one I saw at the show in 2014. I wasted no time in getting this model ordered.

I have this one and like it very much but wish I had gotten the ivory version.
