When this model was announced, I jumped at the chance to have one. This is one of those cars that just speaks to me. I've seen a couple of these in coupe and convertible, but never in a sedan like this model. Brooklin issued this one 1st, it was followed up by another color combination in two-tone gray and then by the BCC in a Fire Chief car. They are all equally impressive. A few years after the initial release, the model was issued again in the NB Center Collection, while the colors are labeled the same as the original release, the shade of color is slightly different.
As it often happens, a 2nd example of the same model joins my collection. Which, in respect to the brown/beige version, I've picked up three of them. Two of the original release and one of the NB Center Collection. I do love this model.
I thought I'd change it up a bit and put whitewall tires on the 2nd one of the original releases. I prefer it with the black walls, but the whitewalls do give the model a different attitude.

I'm really jealous of this one. This car is a favorite of mine also. Sadly, I have none in my collection.
It looks good with either tire version.
The tires do make a difference. If the DeSoto was filmed during the war, I doubt that it would have white walls but if it was after the war, the white walls are very probable. I like the pictures John.
I love both versions but prefer the blackwalls.
De-lovely automobile in any configuration and a real standout here. Excellent replica.
