For the 1961 auto production year, the 1:43 scale represents it very well. As collector's, we have at least one model available from each of the Big Three brands. Those represented are Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac & Chevrolet. Also from Imperial, Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge & Plymouth. Ford too with Lincoln, Ford & Mercury. By 1961, Packard was gone and Studebaker was on its last legs. American Motors was still struggling to find a place in the market. These two brands are not represented at all, at least nothing I am aware of. I wish somebody would fix that. A Rambler Classic or American would be nice. The Studebaker Lark & Hawk were not much to talk about being basically the same as in previous years but having one would still work for me.
Anyway, for today's post, I thought I'd take a look at the wonderful models offered that represent the GM brands for 1961.
Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible - Stamp Models -- issued in 2022, in Jade Metallic, #083 of 199
Buick Electra Hardtop Sport Coupe - Goldvarg Collection -- issued in 2022, in Dublin Green & Kerry Green, #007 of 250
Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Holiday Hardtop Sport Coupe - Goldvarg Collection -- issued in 2021, in Garnet Mist & Provincial White, #008 of 235
Pontiac Catalina Hardtop Sport Coupe - Goldvarg Collection -- issued in 2019, in Richelieu Blue, #156 of 220
Chevrolet Impala Convertible - Goldvarg Collection -- issued in 2024, in Seafoam Green, #216 of 240
I think that Sergio Goldvarg must really like the 1961 model year as he has covered it with many brands including these four.

What a gorgeous grouping of fantastic models!
Glad to have all five.
Beauties! What a great year for GM styling.....and '62 was even better!
I really like all of these wonderful vehicles and the great replicas shown here of them ! The exterior colors are excellent, too.
John, they are absolutely beautiful additions to your collection, congratulations.

Excellent posting and theme, John! It was indeed a terrific year and we're fortunate to have a nice range of models from that era - I've really grown to appreciate the early 60s designs.
GM gems for 1961! Great pics of course!
