What beautiful car and 1/43 model ! This one is a real knock-out and it is in a gorgeous color here, too.
VERY impressive and gorgeous model. Beautiful pics John! Appreciate you diligently sharing your models with us all!
My second favorite Imperial next to the 55.
I was 9yrs old then and absolutely loved seeing those Imperials. The styling is what "knocked my socks off". If I'd had the $ and was old enough, obviously, I would have had a damned tough choice deciding between it, Lincoln and / or Cadillac. What a great year for luxury car buyers.

I know I'm in the minority here - and these Imperials are nice looking - but when I look at these I'll always see "plucked chickens." I miss the fins. Yes, yes... fins were truly outdated by 1962, but... 😔 🙁
Do I remember that your favorite fin is the '59 Caddy ? Or do you have a list of favorites ? I especially remember and like the '59 DeSoto's tail end.

Yes, my absolute favorite car IS the 1959 Cadillac - everyday, I regret selling my Coupe de Ville; I may buy another. I also love 1957 Dodge fins - I owned a Coronet Lancer 4-dr hardtop for over 10 years. I always loved 1957 Plymouths, '59 Buicks, '60 Chryslers, and '61 Cadillacs but never owned any.
I loved the "fins" on my Dad's '59 Impala 🤣
I like the tail end treatment of this '62 much more than earlier years.
