I am very fond of the new GLM 1954 Lincoln Capri models, and thanks to Tom Dirnberger's brilliant choices, these are wonderful models in great color combinations. Along with the stock versions issued, a couple of Mexican Road Race versions were also offered. I had originally planned on passing on these models as this isn't a segment I usually collect. A few weeks or so ago, Harv's post of his model got me to thinking and I remembered the opportunity I had to see the actual 1:1 of this one. So, with the added feature of owning a model of a car I'd actually seen, I bought one.

These are nicely done with LOTS of accurate details - and worth the extra money. I would've like to have seen L & R hood latches, and I'm not certain about the dual exhaust (stock '54's had single exhaust ) but nothing is a deal breaker. This Pan-American Road Race Lincoln is awesome, congrats John.
@chris I saw Dirn's color photos in Chicago last weekend of the real race cars - very close to his 1:43, but I did not notice if yo could see the tail pipes! 🤨 🤔

Funny you mention that..... I quickly referenced a few YT vids, but didn't see any tail pipes either. I have printed source material - I used to know a guy who owned a spot on replica (the white car ) - but haven't yet checked those. Hmmm.... 🤔 🤔
