OK, it's actually a Terraplane, but Brooklin labeled it a Hudson Terraplane, but in 1936 the Hudson name was not part of the brand, the company reserved the name for their line of senior cars. By 1938, when Hudson had decided to phase out the Terraplane, it was then named the Hudson-Terraplane. The Terraplane was generally a popular line from its beginning as an Essex-Terraplane in 1932. That popularity is what led Hudson to discontinue the brand. They felt it was interfering with sales of the more expensive senior Hudson.
Today, it is commonly called the Hudson Terraplane as to designate its lineage as a Hudson. That's cool. Now with that said, Brooklin got a lot of mileage out of this tooling, with the sedan version shown here in several colors and/or liveries. Also issued was the convertible coupe in three colors with open & closed versions. They are all exceptional models and a part of my collection.
This is a sedan version in Taxicab Livery and is the 2005 C.T.C.S. Special Edition model - Upper Canadian Taxicab in a LE of 200. Another added feature of this particular model is that it is from the Dick Browne Collection.

Nice pics John,
This Brooklin Terraplane was a must have for me.
It sits next to my Brooklin Chrysler and Brooklin Bentley (not my pic of the Bentley, but those are coming)
Three beautiful Brooklin headlight bucket cars.

And our own John K put together a great video covering the Brooklin Chrysler Imperial

As I said the Hudson is a favorite of mine, but so is the Chrysler Imperial. It is another fabulous model; I don't yet have the Bentley.

The Bentley is just as nice John. I was able to get it on the Brooklin ebay site for a song and a dance.
I don't think anyone has posted pics of it yet, so I'll get some pics posted soon.
Has John K done a My Take video on the Bentley yet?
Nice pics! If only the models weren't so small. The size is what has always prevented me from ever getting hooked. With as many as there are, that's probably a good thing.

@ben-lampson The Bentley Mulliner DHC is old, maybe 12-15 years. Originally issued in silver-blue, the black one was issued later, probably to get some more mileage out of the casting.
@mg-harv Thanks Harv, I didn't know the casting was that dated....now I will look it up in the Brooklin Models Collector Guide by Mr. Cappi.
It is beautiful in black.
