Here's another quick look at a couple of Ford models from my collection.

  • 1958

A recent release from Goldvarg Collection. Sergio has covered the '58 Ford very well. Included in those models are a Fairlane 500 Club Victoria Hardtop, a Country Squire Station Wagon, the Custom 300 (Fairlane) Town Sedan, a Ranchero, Custom 300 Sedans in a Police Cruiser (featured here) and Taxicab (brand new release). They are all excellent models, very nicely done. So, if you like the style of a '58 Ford, Goldvarg has you covered.

This model has had a little bit of drama to reach this post. Several years ago, I picked this one up as a Country Squire Wagon. During my move a few years ago, the model had a mishap. Both of the fender medallions came up missing and the wood panel decals were damaged. I packed it away for a future project or for parts. When I came across another Country Squire in perfect shape, I picked it up. Now that left the other model still sitting about. I dug it out and decided to see what I could be done with it. 1st thing I did was remove all the wood panel decals, I did leave the tailgate decal as well as the PE script for Country Squire. I also changed it to black wall tires. Now the medallions are still gone, I'll have to see about that later on. With that, the model is a bit unique and adds another layer to the Ford wagons I have.

Yes indeed, sometimes mishaps  are really happy accidents.   This 'ol gal looks pretty good this way.  After all, 1960 Fords were The Finest Fords of a Lifetime.  😀

John, you made the best of a tough situation and it turned out quite well I'd say. I also have the 58 Galaxy from Goldvarg along with the turquoise/ white Ranchero.

To my eye the wagon looks great. As a no-frills family transport it is perfect: nice colour, shape - loads of space!!

You did a great job on the wagon. I like the yellow 59 coupe the best!

@bob-jackman  To my knowledge, this is your first mistake of 2024, I just had to note it.   😀 🙂

I loved that my '61 Country Sedan rear window retracted into the tailgate.

‘60 looks great without the paneling and I love the blackwalls and small hub caps.

I always liked the styling of the '60 Ford wagon over the '61.

I swear, I sold Ford for 12 years and have never heard of a Country Sedan before. I had to go look it up! made from 1952-1974. Thanks, Steve, for shpowing me something new!
