When Great Lighting Models issued their 1962 Cadillac Sedan de Ville models. I was thrilled. I had learned of the '62 Cadillac models previously issued by Conquest, but so far, they were seldom seen on auction, and when one appeared it was too pricey for me at the time. I spoke to Buz @ Route 66 Models, but he wasn't planning any new releases of the '62 Cadillac either.
GLM announced their models in 2020, and after some ordeal, I finally received the pair in early 2021- remember Covid. A third color was issue in mid-2021, that arrived as well - with a much easier experience.

Later in 2021, a convertible was issued, this time it had moved to the Stamp Models range. A couple of colors were offered (with 2 other colors released later) Here's one of the 1st issued.
1962 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible - Limited Edition #032 of 149, STM-63201 in Neptune Blue
Now as it turned out, I came across one of those coveted white metal models by Conquest. This model started out my 2022 collecting year with elegance and style. It happens to be a model of one of the more formal looking cars offered in the 1962 Cadillac lineup.
1962 Cadillac Sedan de Ville 6-Window Hardtop - CON 69B in Ebony Black
The 1962 Cadillac took a back burner in my collecting interests as nothing new was offered although I continued to follow eBay and other sites for those Conquest models. While a few popped up from time to time, they were usually outside of my price range. Then in late 2023, I came across another Hardtop Sedan, this time it was a Sixty Special. The acquisition price of this gem was just too low to pass on, so another '62 was added to my collection and with 2024, started my collecting year with even more style.
1962 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Hardtop Sedan - CON 25R in Pompeian Red
Later in 2024, Stamp Models announced the '62 Caddy in a hardtop format. The model was again offered in a couple of colors, two of which I added to my collection. This one, while one might think is somewhat bland and simple in appearance, in hand, the color is quite impressive, for me anyway.
1962 Cadillac Coupe de Ville Hardtop - STM-62602 in Olympic White
And here we are in 2026, once again Stamp has offered a couple of Special Limited-Edition Series 62 Convertibles, with the '62 being my 2nd favorite style year for a 60s Cadillac, they were necessary, although I did try to resist as my collection is growing larger than I can handle (display wise) Here's a couple of photos of the two with way more to follow up soon.

Thanks for the time you spent with me and this post, I appreciate it. I hope you enjoyed taking a look back as much as I did, bringing it together.

Wow John, those are ALL gorgeous models. I love the 61/62 Caddys. 🤑
Lovely models. I always liked the 1962 Cadillac design. I remember a couple of times Buz had one on his website, and regret not buying one.

What absolutely beautiful Cadillacs and GLM replicas. The colors are all exceptionally nice and are well displayed by each Cadillac. As always, choosing a style and color would be difficult. The solution would be to obtain all of them !
WOW is right! That Neptune Blue with Parchment interior would be my choice. Handsome, ALL!!
My favorite post war Cadillac regardless of body style or color. Conquest and GLM both did a magnificent job with their versions.
Thank you John for sharing these great Cadillacs. I, too, have a fondness for this period in Cadillac's history and I even had the chance to drive a '62 white, four-door, owned by a friend's mother.
@gdh ...for many years I owned a 1959 CDV; at 5,000 lbs with a 130" wb, it rode like a cloud, even with factory correct bias-ply tires. 😉 I never drove a '62 though....
@chris The ride in a Cadillac is unique, in my experience. I owned a white 1967 CDV with a black vinyl roof when I returned to college, in So Cal, and much later, in my forties, I purchased a 1967 CDV convertible, in the same color. If I was back in the States, I would look for another coupe, or convertible, of that year. Loved both of them.
they did make the limo - I have one that has chrome that has come loose-need to make repairs but haven’t done it yet.
no Eldorado that I am aware of.

@gdh Nice! The first car I ever rode in - I was brought home from the hospital after I was born - was a 1958 SDV. The first car I remember was my Dad's 1967 SDV - all black (...my dad only drove black Cadillacs - but that's another story! )
- So yeah, I have a special place in my heart for '67 Cadillacs; your white convertible is (was ) gorgeous! 😎 😎 Right before Cadillac stopped making 2-dr cars, I bought one as a "collector car." ....one of the last ATS coupes ever made..... but I'll be long gone BEFORE that car ever reaches collector value. 🙄 🙄 🙄
- Although, the last of the "true Cadillacs" mid-1990's Fleetwood Broughams, have started to climb. One recently sold at B-J for $94,000 - which is NUTS!
- Again, you owned beautiful "his & hers" 1967 Cadillacs! 😎 😀 😎
Great collection, John. The 62 is a favorite year Cadillac for me. I only have the yellow sedan and the sage green convertible but would add more if I had display room. I do need a coupe though......
@chris Yes, they were beauties and I should note those aren't photos of the ones I owned, though mine were in great condition. My father would never, never, never, spend money on a Cadillac. He had the means, but he was a pecuniary sort, for the few years that I knew him. His last Oldsmobile he purchased without a radio, because the extra dollars were 'a waste.' As you may have discerned, this apple fell very far from the tree.
By the way, do you know of any models of the 1937 Cadillac? I only see the 1968, with a grill that is not as nice as the '67.

I assume you meant "1967 Cadillac."
Yes, there are two Jo-Han 1/25 plastic "promo models," a CDV and convertible, no 1/43 resin offerings other than Eldorados, but BOS has a 1/18 sealed-resin limousine and CDV, while K&K Scale produces sealed 1/18 diecast '67 convertibles - top up or down:
