This model recently arrived direct from Brooklin. Now, I've never seen one of these in person, but from what I see, it looks great. The model reminds of the everyday sedans that ran the roads in the States during the 80s & 90s. With that, I am very pleased with the model and now I can't wait for the Estate version to arrive. Soon, I hope.

Nice to see a Brooklin model from the 1980’s. I really like that background for model photography.

That's a 41 year old Brooklin model?   They did fantastic work back then!

I got out my sales brochures on the Montego from around 1984.  There were various trim levels available all the way up to the most luxurious version the Vanden Plas.  Engine sizes went from the evergreen BMC A series 1275cc up to an S series overhead cam four cylinder of 2 liters with EFI and a 0-60 time in the MG version of 8.9 seconds.   Four and five speed gearboxes were offered plus an automatic with the 1600cc engine.  Austin offered an estate in various trim levels but no MG estate appears in my literature.  The company was known as Austin Rover at the time based in Canley Coventry.
