OK, as avid of a fan as I am of Brooklin Models' Tucker releases, until today I had ignored the original Tucker that Brooklin issued way back in the beginning. I suppose ignored is probably a strong phrasing, I have looked at them repeatedly on eBay and Facebook posts. There are so many variations, I guess I found it easier to skip over them then to be confused or perplexed as to which one(s) to acquire. Besides, and I don't mean to be harsh, the casting is definitely a bit crude in many ways. If you compare them to the new release, BRK 222, they appear to be off for sure. Up to today, I had decided not to add any of these vintage releases. That changed when I ordered several of them from a couple of sellers on eBay. The Tucker Movie Souvenir Set as well as a gold example and a dark green example. I know there are a lot of variations, but I don't usually chase these down, so I am good with the choices I made. I am interested to see them in person as I haven't yet seen any.
Now as far as the BRK 222 releases, I was all over them being a huge Tucker fan. The Tucker 48 has always intrigued me for as long as I can remember. I was probably 7 of 8 when I saw my 1st one. Since that day, I have collected as many Tucker models as I could. In addition, I have been fortunate enough to see nearly 10 of these fantastic cars in person. The BRK 222 Tucker models were issued in seven colors, three of which are the AACA Limited Editions.
I added two additional BRK 222 models in Waltz Blue & Black to simulate the actual cars in both the Gilmore Museum & the Henry Ford Museum. Both of these cars were on display with black wall tires. So, I outfitted one of each the same.
Here's my two models in Waltz Blue. Issued in 2018, BRK 222c. 1948 Tucker 48 Sedan
I hope, as a reader of my posts, you don't mind when I share some insight or even a little bit of history of my model or even of the 1:1 car. It seems that at this point in my collection, as I share my photos, I like to share the reason why that model exists in my collection. I always try to keep my text to a minimum, but sometimes I get carried away, LOL!
Anyway, thank-you very much for your time and interest in these posts.
