OK, it's been another minute since my last post on this iconic Buick. While we have had a decent selection of Riviera models offered from various manufacturers, there are still so many that need modeling, of course that's my opinion. I'd love to see a '73 and since the 4th and 5th generations have been ignored, please, them too. The highest selling generation from 1979-1985 has only been modeled by NEO as an '82, so more of them would be great too. I have a BoS version of the 7th generation, but sadly, I don't need any more of that group (maybe a '93 in the right color) The final generation, I believe, was modeled by NEO, but I've only seen photos of it, so I can't confirm that. My Aunt test drove a '95 version three times when it was 1st released. She liked the handling of the car but just could warm up to the overall look. She went with a 2yr old Coupe de Ville instead.
The 1st model in this final group is the model from NEO Scale Models, issued in 2012. It is Spectra Red w/a white top

(My Dad had 2 of these, a '79 & '85. He loved both of them)
And this "very sad" model from BoS Models. GM lost their way for many years in the 80s, and this car definitely was a low point.

Very good looking Buick Rivieras, especially that 1982 coupe. I have some Rivieras in 1/18, but in 1/43 scale, currently I just have Yat Ming's 1971 Riviera in pale green. Up until nearer the end of their existence, these were normally attractive and well-laid out V-8 powered automobiles.
The '82 was a nice looking car considering its era.
