A nice hat trick set John!
I was bidding on a MOC '49 Caddy sedanette, but I was outbid.....it sold for only $512....well under market value in my opinion.
That '61 is, IMO, DDG ! And your pics make it appear to be a 1:1Â

John,
Your 1949 reminded me of one that I learned much from when I detailed it.
The Cadillac stood proud so I decided to scrape it. Paint too thick paint and then the light undercoat showed through. Lesson: Removing and repainting the body allows for successful scraping to create the fine "chrome".
Â
I also tried to paint the Caddy logo with mixed success, Too much detail and busy, a decal would have worked better tho the Chevy simpler shield for instance, shows better and is easier to paint.
Â
The dash was too chromey as on the 1:1. Maybe some blackwash would have helped?

Cheers and Happy Collecting,

Beautiful work on the fastback Caddy, Steve. Â
What beautiful 1/43 Cadillacs .... all of them. Truly, the Standard of the World !
Â
Truly lovely models ,but $512 for any 1/43 model is in my book Insane!🤯
@larry-kemling Insane, yes! But I would pay $500 easily for one of my holy grails! Which is a crazy, I admit! 😜
John Merritt: Â An interesting mistake in labeling on the GIM '56 Coupe de Ville. Note that the side script says 'Eldorado'
I have a blue /white version  correctly badged Coupe de Ville.

I never caught that, Stanton. Thanks for pointing it out. I bought this model because of the color. I'll have to see if I can remove the script.

That MOC '49 Caddy is one of my holy grails, and if it were a buy-it-now auction for $512, I would own it.
I sort of agree with you. There are a couple of MOC models, which I would pay $500 each, but not much more. The 49 Cadillac is not one of them, so I would not compete with you for that one.
