I've been working on some new photos today using a foamboard backdrop that I picked up a few years ago. This photoshoot is the 1st time I've used it. I believe the backdrop represents a United Kingdom Ford Service Center from some years ago. With that, it appears American enough for my needs. It is a nicely detailed backdrop that should work out fine for future and occasional setups.
Now for the model in this photo set, an older release from Top Gear-Trax that I added last month. This one is in an excellent color and is from their "Originals Series".

That's a great little model, and one I have too. ....but I still haven't "fixed" that steering wheel! 😏 😏 😏 Nice pics John.
This looks excellent and the backdrop is terrific ! It works really well for model photography, as these pictures show.
The background is excellent as is the model. Very realistic looking.

Ok Chris, is the steering wheel on the wrong side of the dashboard or does it sit too low and rest on the seat... Or does it sit too high ?
Very realistic setting. The reference to “wolf whistles” in the car ad gives away its country of origin.
@100ford2003 It's on the "wrong side." 😀 😀 Seriously, I "inspected" my model years ago - it would've been more trouble than it's worth - so I left it. I really do love this one though; it captures the look of the 1:1 very well! 😎 😎
Still more first generation Falcons. This is four. These are Trax diecasts. Note that the Falcon station wagons in Australia had a shorter rear over hang as it was determined that the US length rear was unsuitable for some unimproved Australian roads. The two door wagon was a modification of a four door. The two tone two door sedan has been Americanized.
Here are the commercial variants. The Ranchero with the black top has been Americanized deleting the flying buttresses behind the cab as shown on the white Australian version. The blue sedan delivery has also been Americanized, LHD and with a longer front door.
Here are two sedans, one an Edicola two tone 1962, and the other a Trax. Note grill differences and RHD and LHD.
And for comparison this is a 1960 Comet (replica of a family car) with the correct length rear quarter that all US Falcons and Comet station wagons had.
And here are two 1963s, last of the first generation car, two Brooklin Futura or Sprints.
And finally, the Falcon based Econoline range Club Wagon, pickup and van. Van and pickup conversions of Club Wagons
So that's it for early Falcons, but a second generation 1964 Futura four door sedan conversion is on the workbench.

Awesome work John... and I didn't realize Aussy versions were shorter.
John, thanks for showing more of your nice work.
