How about a quick look into the "crazy" that comprises my collection, or at least an insight into my obsessive mind. LOL! As I've told this part of the story before, I'll keep it brief, back when I rediscovered 1:43 scale models, Brooklin Models was one of the companies I looked into deeper. After the 1st few purchases, I was hooked and to this day, while I buy far fewer of them now, they still remain the "passion" or "heart" of my collection, as do all of my white metal models.

This particular model was a very early addition to my Brooklin Collection. I was fascinated by these little gems, as Hudson cars are ones I follow closely. This model is the 1st that I added to my collection, and with 10 of them now, it remains a favorite.

When I added this one, it came with whitewall tires, to me, this seemed one of those models that needed a simpler look. A less flash and more substance vibe sort of. I switched the tires and I like the result. A few years later I came across another one for an excellent price, it already sported black wall tires, which I returned to that whitewall look, giving it a tiny bit more class. Either way presented, this is still an excellent little model that represents an era long gone.

Umm... no. I like the model and I know I'm obsessive, but not quite that much. I have the Neptune Gray sedan, the Taxicab, the Police cruiser, and five convertibles in Glacier Blue, Hudson Blue & Neptune Gray.

I love your superb pics of your models, John. They make these models look real.

The Hudson is also one of my favorite Brooklin models, so I also have more than one: the grey sedan, the Police car and two green ones.

Here mine with whitewalls and some scraped "chrome" details:

My parents were supposed to have had a Terraplane at some point. Never saw it, not even a picture.

Amelia Earhart was the spokeswoman for Terraplane automobiles. Well, apparently until July, 1937.
