Here's another group of photos from the wasteland of my computer files. When I set up this quick diorama, I brought together quite a few models for the shoot. Some got posted, but more did not. I wasn't too overly thrilled with the overall result. Now 10 years later with a different viewpoint and here you go.

That's a beautiful model.

My best friend was a body shop manager for a Lincoln Mercury dealership here in Costa Mesa California. I used to stop by and visit him very often and I was amazed at the beautiful Lincolns that were being repaired and just everything about them.  He got to take them home and test him after they've been repaired you know to troubleshoot make sure that everything was fixed right they were just beautiful cars.

The body shop mechanic guys there were able to take two Lincoln four-door sedans and convert into one four-door sedan by cutting them in half and welding them back together.

That was never a car that they ever put on the lot for sale it was that they bought that for themselves. Those were some amazing times in the mid to early 80s that I would visit with him.

Johnson & Son Lincoln Mercury in Costa Mesa was one of the biggest Lincoln Mercury dealers around So Cal.

That is a great-looking Lincoln and model ! It is shown off really well in these images and it is of a particularly attractive automobile that is really set off by these pinstripes on this dark replica.

Having owned a medium turquoise Mark V, I was able to find the model in that color with the moon roof. Great model for a very reasonable price.

Here's the metallic brown version, a typical color for the era.
