I acquired this model early last year from Roger Tennyson/Studio Tenn Models. it is a very nicely done Brooklin '49 Lincoln Cosmopolitan.

Great work, John. I don't believe I've heard of him before.Â

Oh boy, that one is a beauty ! A really nice 1/43 model. My Grandparent's 1949 Lincoln coupe is one of the first 1:1 automobiles I remember when I was little ..... or at least it's spring-loaded trunk latch cover !
Great work, John. I don't believe I've heard of him before.Â
He's a great guy; I texted back and forth with him last year. He's a retired UK policeman who used to make high quality models. I have a Morris Minor Low-lite in maroon that he made years ago; it's one that I will never part with.
Very nice, I've always loved these "water-buffalo Lincolns," sans the sunken, stupid looking headlights that were supposed to be behind head-light doors, but engineers couldn't work out the bugs in time for production. Those chromed "drain-pipe" headlight bezels were the quick fix.... and it shows. 😫Â
He was affiliated with Crossways Models. I got to know him through a couple of Lansdowne Ford Zephyr models he had done while associated with Crossways. I had purchased a '53 in two-tone blue and a solid black '54. I don't quite remember how our correspondence began; I believe it was after I posted photos on FB of the Zephyr models. We talked back and forth about them, and he gave me some background on the models. He later sent me a sun visor for the black '54 which was missing when I purchased it. Sometime later, I came across the Lincoln, learning that it was done by him, I snapped it right up.Â

Crossway Models are very well done; I still have a fair number of them. My favorite is the Morris MO.
