From My Collection... Model #05

Here's one for you. I'm not sure how many collect models from the 20s & 30s like I do. But these are the cars that sooth my soul. They speak to me in a deep and profound manner that calms me and takes me to a place outside of my head. the last several months, this has been desperately needed. Thanks goodness the Gilmore Car Museum is a fairly short distance from my home. Now my wife or my grandson has spent more time there than they probably ever planned in the last few months, I don't drive the distance well quite yet. With that, a few hours spent with these magnificent works of art is so rewarding. The curves and gentle flow of graceful bodies, the chrome and the intricate design all come together in a way that makes more sense to me. I can allow myself to be absorbed into the presence of these cars and for a time, they are all I see. I find them calming in a way that nothing else does.

The Isotta Fraschini is a one of those cars that I've seen only one of, I thought I had photos of it, but I can't find them right now. For now, I will have to be satisfied with this magnificent gem. Which is also the only one I have in my collection, at least for now.
