"A Tale of Two Cadillacs"
When this model was announced quite sometime ago, I knew I had to have at least one of them (well OK, as obsessed as I am with these little gems-it would be both) and I made a note in my database to alert me periodically to check on them. After a bit, I reached out to GLM directly, but as of that time, no date was yet available. I could, of course, place a pre-order. I was uncomfortable in paying for an item that was not assured for months. So I waited. After a bit longer, I found them available for pre-order at a trusted vendor, I placed my order. I was growing anxious, a lot of time has elapsed, and nothing yet. One of the times I was checking on progress, I noticed that one of the colors had been removed from the site, when I reached out for an explanation, I wasn't satisfied with the response. My trust in this vendor had been wavering for some time, several pre-orders had not been filled and the models had come and gone from other vendors. I missed out. I began searching for options and found them available on eBay from another vendor which I had done business with many times. Unfortunately, with Covid19 being what it has been for months, shipping options had become more limited. With this vendor in Germany, he only shipped by sea at this time. Yikes! but this vendor had never let me down and even assisted in tracking down several hard-to-find models for me already in the past. I made my purchase and waited. Now for anyone that knows me, I am not known for my patience, so I started to become anxious once again. It was now going on three months and nothing had arrived. To make matters worse, a shipping bottleneck grew in a local sorting facility. I started to feel that I was not going to receive these models, which had now become a deeper obsession and determination. I don't go by JCarnutz for nothing, LOL!
Anyway, just this last Friday, they arrived. I can tell you that I am thrilled beyond measure, they are all that I hoped they would be and more. The colors are perfect, and to my eyes so are the models, but I am by far, no expert. You may agree, if you by chance have one or both of them. Now, my hope is that GLM will continue to offer more body styles in the lineup. However, I will have to contain my obsession just a bit better if they do.

Very nice indeed John; I'm waiting for the Coupe De Ville and convertible. The 62 is my fave Caddy of its decade.
Go for three. Maize Yellow is due in April, an LE of only 76.
I have one reserved from Dave Gilbert @ Toy Car Geek. He has an order in, not yet confirmed, so I guess it is still pending.
Since I have the other two, I am not as concerned about not getting one as I was the others. I shall see what's comes of it.
Dave is a great guy that I have been dealing with for a while now. He is very attentive to his customer, excellent service.

After the 1941 Cadillac, the 1962 is my next favourite. Great pictures and models. As you stated, the colors are perfect.
@jcarnutz Where can I see what Dave Gilbert @ Toy Car Geek has to offer? I am not familiar with him.

You can just Google "toycargeek", he will be the first 3 hits!
Mine is on order, at a discount, from Burbank House of Hobbies.
@jack-dodds And I'm wondering if anyone will do a Park Avenue, the "compact" Cadillac of this era?
