This car has long ago occupied my interest since I 1st saw photos of one many years ago. They are to say at the least, very intriguing. I've picked up a few models of this car over the years both in 1:43 and 1:24 scale. They were nice, but not to the scale that this one is. I came across this model on eBay in 2023, and despite the acquisition price, I added it immediately to my collection. Who knows why I do what I do sometimes, even I am usually bewildered by my actions, but this model went into that cabinet I spoke about yesterday. It wasn't forgotten; it was just waiting for its day in the spotlight. That day (or hour) came last night with the photo taking and then a couple of hours to process the photos in my "manner" to present them to you in this post.

I am thrilled to have this model, it and a couple of other models from Century Dragon/DIP Models of Russian cars have become a "centerpiece" in my collection. They are among the finest resin models I've seen. The others came from the cabinet yesterday too, photos have been shot, processing will begin soon.

A moment of insight in my "process" if you will. I take at least a hundred or so photos of every model, from that 10 or 15 will make the cut. Sometimes, I am not thrilled with the end result, and they will be scraped to start again. My photo software takes it from there; I do what I can to pick the best shots and enhance them. My background for the bulk of my photos is simple and basic, I want the model to shine, not the background to distract. What gets posted, is I hope, the best that I can offer. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Each model that undergoes this process gets at least 2-6 hours of my attention. Obsessive yes, necessary for me, absolutely. I am an amateur at best, and far better photos of models are shown every day, but I am proud to contribute, and I hope I will continue to offer the best that I am able to do. Thanks.

A stunner! Almost looks like it was build by Packard:

I also have one of these (#4 of 12). Kind of crazy to have such a limited series, though I was lucky to grab mine a a very reasonable price. Comes with a clear podium, which isn't very common for this manufacturer. The metal plate says it's a limited edition for some entity called "Atrioola OU". Rare color, as most of ZIS-110 across offerings are black, with fewer in white, dark red and gray.

It's copied off an earlier pre-war Packard style.

...correct.  Designers did indeed copy Packard (obviously ) and continued to do so for many years - right up to Packard's last designs.   John, that's a very unique model; I like it very much.   Later "Russian Packards,"  although nice, weren't quite as glamorous.

Sorry for the "cloudy pic."    🙄 🙄 🙄

I don't normally take photos of boxes tags, plaques, COA but I did for this one.
