Back to 1956 with this fabulous pair of beautiful DeSoto Fireflite models. Buz issued these for the Countryside Collector's Show Fundraiser. As with the Kaiser pair, these models could be ordered individually or as a set. I had to have the set. In the original email that I received from Route 66 Models, this was offered in a total of 10 sets.
The models are finished in Plum Iridescent Metallic & Lavender Iridescent, which is a fabulous color combination that was chosen by Danbury Mint for their 1:24 scale models as well.

I got the hardtop as I already had the convertible in these colors some years ago. I also have the DM models in 1/24 scale.

One of my favorite DM hardtop models. The 2-tone colors are gorgeous.
