Your work is always superb John, as was Fred Lewis's on mine. But...
As Ben Lampson's photos show, the Neo is excellent. Just look at the Fleetline script on the trunk. While I have this Neo and like it, there is no corresponding gray/beige color combo in the 1948 color charts. This is not to say a dealer couldn't have painted it this way. But if Neo comes out with, say, brown poly over light green, my Neo is off to the auction block.
Awhile back I got a Motor City Fleetline. Comparing the two, the Brooklin casting from a couple decades ago looks a bit stubby. The MOC had proper shades of green, unlike the original Brooklin, but I think they should have been reversed, darker shade on top. Chevy experts feel free to chime in.

So between the Neo and MOC, I decided to sell my repainted Brooklin. If Motor City had made the woodie, in proper colors, I wouldn't keep the Neo either. Only so much room around here.

1948 Chevrolet colors......
John. excellent restoration of the Brooklin. I don't know how you did it. Lotrs of detailing on that model Chevy.
I also think the Brooklin is kind of stubby, and not quite accurate. I have it, bought a long time ago. The NEO is really an accurate and super nice model. I passed on it, because those two colors are not correct and was the dealbreaker. I'm hoping for a second version.

I had the discussion with a dealer regarding repaints to other colors. I'm not buying it. A new car buyer is not going to ruin a factory fresh paint combination on a brand new car. Not after he spent hard earned cash to buy it. I don't know anybody who ever did that. I'm only interested in how they came from the factory.

Harvey, I have this model as well as the 1/24 scale from Danbury Mint.
The Danbury model has the dark green on top as you suggest and as Ray's information shows.
