This is the condition of my Futura. It has less yellowing of the bubble top and shows a bit of shrinkage. It's all the brightwork that has darkened (oxidized?). Does anyone know if these trim and grill parts were plated or just polished? If they are plated then I won't touch them. If they were just polished metal, then I would attempt polish them. Or, is it like antiques where you leave the patina alone? (that sounds like a silly question, I know... but...)
I keep looking for a way to reverse the yellowing but no success so far.
I don't think you can remedy the yellowing. But, try a barely damp cotton cloth, relatively thin, like a t-shirt, on the brightwork. It should clean right up.

Nice model! I remember as a kid building a kit by Revell or AMT in what must have been 1/25 in plastic. It was a pale green. like yours, Rich. I thought it was a cool car.

@david-knight I have that model. I had bought it as a kid and probably blew it up. Revell reissued the kit 20 years ago and I bought it mixed up and sprayed it with at pearlescent light green but I still hungered for something more definitive.... and then Minichamps released the 1/18 model..... and I parked it next the Barris conversion.
Or, you could leave it alone with its patina and seek out the 1/43 Minichamps with all its chrome bits shining. Plus, according to Wikipedia, the original color was white pearl. I remember the Revell kit and its greenish color, but perhaps that was incorrect and GADM perpetuated it. I can visualize the pearl paint of the 1:1 reflecting a lot of colors depending on background, sky, etc. and photos at the time picking up something other than white.
