This one came with a note from the editors,

"Hi everyone.

Sandra and I hope you had a nice Christmas and New Year break.

The first Gearbox newsletter for 2023 is attached.

One article featured is another by Mark Jenkins and this time on the 31 Class locomotive for our railway buffs.

I am always open to articles from any member. Even some basic info supplied can be turned into one suitable for the Gearbox.

This year I will be adding a `re-visited article' in each Gearbox as I go back in time checking out the hundreds of past Gearbox articles we have on file.

No doubt we will also have some very interesting reads in the magazines we receive from our English, Canadian and West Aussie friends.

Our club's Facebook page needs more items posted. It is only a matter of taking some pics of your models or an interesting vehicle you have spotted out and about and posting them. I know there are some rare models belonging to members out there and we would love to see them.

We also need more members to sign up to our Facebook page. It is simple and Paul or Bill can help. The more members looking, the more models or cars spotted can be seen.

So, I hope this year will be another good year for the club and our members.

Regards, Terry"
