@ben-lampson, I passed on those. I think the model is fantastic but the design doesn't appeal that much to me. I may end up regretting that deicsion.

My favorite car of the 60s.  I think Sergio chose the perfect color with the "teal mist".  In hand the color is lighter, more silvery and subtle than in photos, and is gorgeous. This is close to the car's launch color. Before [or just as] the car hit showrooms there was a big print ad campain to wow the public with this striking new design, using this color.  Also I've seen some smallish but nicely photographed teaser brochures, again using this color plus B&W shots, to increase the excitement.  Great model, worth the wait for it, and also more than my money's worth.

I can't currectly find the links to the various print ads Ive descibed.  Some were selling on The Bray.

Mark, since you have the Riv in hand, would you tell me please if all of the side windows are in the up position, or only the rear ones?  With the stainless trim piece in place, the rear windows have to be up but the front ones don't so I am wondering whether they are up or down.  One of the things I love about the new '62 Impalas is that the windows are down, giving it that real hardtop look.   Also, and this is kind of weird, but the wheel covers on the Riviera look just like the ones on the Impala.  Can anyone confirm or deny?  Thanks!

oh, ok....I was wondering why you didn't do a My Take video for it...now I know.

I liked it so much, that I bought all 3 color variations. It is the only white metal model in my collection that I have multiple color variations of the same model......but I do have the resin Neo 1949 Oldsmobile club coupe fastback which I have two color variations

Did you get the new WMCE 1957 De Soto? If so, I would love to see a My Take video of that model.

Edit: after looking through my display case, I found 2 more sets of models that I bought doubles.

The SMTS 2 1970 Cudas (Trans Am racer and AAR street car) and the 2 Neo 1948 Fleetline fastbacks.

@rick-thompson I don't have the model yet but from the most recent pictures, I can attest Goldvarg have replicated the original expensive finned cast aluminum wheel covers with removable center caps to access the log nuts. I had those on my 1:1. All the windows are down.

@john-quilter Thanks, I never thought he made one. I had his 1939 Buick Roadmaster Pace Car along time ago.
