GREAT NEWS for us 1:43 collectors. We will soon have another new modelmaker!

Sergio Goldvarg is announcing a return to model production. The models will be resin American cars. Watch for future announcements.

Especially if they don't come from China! If they do, then we've probably got all we need.

Where else can reasonably priced resin models be made?

I don't know…Bangladesh, India, Brazil, Argentina?

Anyplace but the People's Republic of China.

Why would the models be better from those countries?

One reason Goldvarg quit production in his home country of Argentina was the crookedness of officials who had their hands out at every turn.

I didn't say that they'd be better, Dick. You asked where else they might be made, so I posted some alternatives. That's all I intended to do. Like many, I make a concerted effort to avoid buying products made in China when I can, and I thought that the countries I mentioned might be viable alternatives.

Dick, do you know anything about what models they are planning to release?

Enough Chinese products already. What happened to the anonymous resin producer that was supposed to move back to the US a couple years ago?

I'll pay a premium for US made products especially some I really enjoy like, um, MODEL CARS!
