I’m hoping the MiniMarque hive mind can help me pin down the full model number code + the “official” description for two recent pickups. I got each of them for under $50 apiece without original boxes.

  • 1932 Packard Dual Cowl Phaeton (006/250)

  • 1935 Duesenberg SSJ La Grande (031/250)

I assume both are US-prefixed (MiniMarque often uses region prefixes like US No. __ on the box label), but I’m missing the complete codes and the exact description text.

And yes, @karl, I checked hobbyDB first and didn’t find either one listed that matches mine.

1932 Packard Dual Cowl Phaeton

From other public listings/auction records, it looks like MiniMarque used US No. 3a and US No. 3b for very similar Packard Dual Cowl Phaeton variants. This one has a dark blue interior:

  • US No. 3a appears associated with a “1932 Packard Dual Cowl Phaeton, Top Up” entry on the MiniMarque brand index page at hobbyDB.

  • US No. 3b is explicitly shown in an auction description as: “Mini Marque 43 US No 3b 1932 Packard Dual Cowl Phaeton Closed”

  • I’ve also seen later Packard codes in the wild like US5A for a 1932 Packard Dual Cowl Phaeton LHD Open (so the Packard numbering isn’t limited to just “3a/3b”).

So that's where I'm stuck.

This one is trickier as I have Duesenbergs with either a US or CS prefix. If you own this one or have catalogs/box-end-label photos, I’d love to know what yours shows.

Here is the closed version.

It may be the same number as on the label "open" is crossed out. I wonder if the "B" next to the label indicates "Top Up".

Maybe "CS6A" is your answer. It seems consistent throughout MM labeling that "a" is for open and "B" is for top up (except for the Gary Cooper SSJ bellow).

s l1600 (4)

"CS" may stand for Celebrity Series or something like this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/136804988779 Gary Cooper CS3B

Here is another one:

Some of the Jean Harlow version have blue trim.

Here is a picture of the  box for the "top down" open Jean Harlow Packard .Chav posted a picture of mine which I had listed under Buy, Sell, Trade. I agree with his assessment. The correct code is CS6A. "A" being open and "B" being closed.
