Help needed- My model under construction needs white walls for its tires. But
I don't have (and/or cannot find) any of those little paper rings. Does anyone remember the source? It seems it was in Germany.
I'm having fun with this project, a Mikansue kit of the Triumph Mayflower. Today I'm waiting for paint to dry. Thanks to Karl, I found this picture:

This is the Mayflower as built by Brooklin several years ago in the Lansdowne series. BRK's detailing looks far superior to the Mikansue version that I'm working with. Does anyone still have one of these?
I believe it's Tin Wizard you need
Bought one last week!
Bought one on ePay from a Dutch vendor last week. It needs a rear light but hopefully Amanda will come up with the goods.
It is a nice model of a car which was rare even in Coventry where it was made.
Good for you, Maz. Post pictures when it arrives, please. I've been trying to place an order with Tin Wizard, but I'm stumped by their "pick a shipping method" demands. My computer just freezes at that one! My model may wind up with black tires!!
Tin Wizard shipping
A while back I ordered a whitewall decal sheet from them but I was disappointed that for something so easily mailalbe in a normal envelope for a reasonable fee, could not be arranged. They insisted on a shipping charge (Germany to USA) that was, if I recall, more than the price of the decals. Some model supplier in the USA should order a number of these in bulk and make them available to collectors/builders at a reasonable mailing fee. Tin Wizard should also consider another size decal that more closely resembles the 1960s to 1980s narrow whitewall tire.

Here is a group of razor edged Triumphs
The Brooklin Renown in maroon, the Dinky Renown in gray and the Mikansue Mayflower. The Dinky is a bit smaller than true 43rd.

Try Vinyl Nation Decals on facebook.
They will custom make whitewall decals in any size. I have not personally used their product but pics of models with the whitewalls (and other colors) look nice. And they are in the US so shipping is no issue.
I have the Dinky in fawn with green wheels - still an old favorite.
Thanks, David. I have sent them an e-mail.

On its way.
