I opted for two of the 1954 Carrera Panamerica cars (aka, Mexican Road Race, until Trump changes that historical name).
The Ray Crawford #149 car was 9th overall and first in class, LE of 50. The white car is available as #103 and 109. I opted for 103 since it was just behind Crawford's car. The #109 car was driven by Bill Vukovich, perhaps favored because he won Indy in 1953 and 1954. But 109 was a DNF. The white car is an LE of 40, or is it 80? I'll have to ask Tom Dirnberger about that next month.
Both of those look like exceptional models. I haven't featured them because I didn't buy these two. I have seriously considered the red one mainly because I've seen the 1:1 a few years ago at the Gilmore Museum. I was then and still am intrigued by the Road Race cars and having spent some time with the red one, even more so. I was told some of its history in a few stories from Charlie Berry who was instrumental in bringing the car to the Museum in 2016. Now with reliving those moments, maybe I need to reach out to Tom about acquiring the red one, thanks Harv, LOL!
Just for a little fun, here's some pics of the 1:1 that I saw at the Gilmore, on loan from the National Automobile Museum in Nevada.
Here's a photo with Charlie and his wife Jo-Anne along with a '53 Lincoln Cosmopolitan.

Yep! Those are awesome replicas!
@ed-davis +1. I don't collect race cars but enjoyed the story. The models look terrific.
Nice models with an interesting history and great to see the full sized version. Thank you Harv and John.
