Most of them are pre-1970, with at least one post-2000 made under BMW's ownership. This doesn't include all my Mini-Minors, Austin Se7ens, etc. So there was a big gap in there, which Solido just filled. Based on the four auxiliary lights, white mirrors, and Cooper racing stripes, this looks like one from the last production period (Mk. 7 Mini body, 1996-2000). Of course, I went with metallic green.
BTW, here are some British saloon championship Mini Coopers from 1966 and 1968. Just like the Beetle, there was very little outward change in appearance from the 1960s to 2000.
Those are beautiful images, Harv, of the original Minis. And of course BRG is the appropriate color. Thanks for sharing your pictures of these Minis.

Harv and Chris, seeing your posts showing your Minis inspired me to look at the only two I have, both Mini Coopers by Minichamps.

Anybody have this one? This is a Spark John Cooper Works Coupe produced between 2012 - 2015. They were very hard to get as a model as well as the real one. I had the exact same I;I in that color bought from new in 2014. This was a blast to drive. They were called the modern " Pocket Rocket " and unbelievable on twisty mountain roads.
And a set of three very late circa 2000 (?) classic Minis.
And a 1:1 owned by a local car club member.
And one of my creations to replica a new Mini convertible.

And there is this circa 1972 Innocenti Mini that British Leyland's Italian branch produced for a number of years. Only very minor differences from the UK produced ones but always LHD. This is a Solido item.

Many years ago I had a 1977 Mini 1000.
Bought it from a lady and it seemed the car never got out of town.
Special alloy wheels from the junk-yard accompanied with bull-bars up-front and in the back gave it that extra menacing look.
The small leather Jaguar steering wheel was a blast to see.
The sheet-metal really was shit-metal, but those were the days of British cars.
But it was a super little car to drive.
After I added Slick-50 to the engine-oil, nobody could beat me at the stopping-lights.
