I know this questions has probably been asked and answered before...

but, how does one remove the models from an IXO base plate? I just got the "Capone" Caddy and it is attached via those screws with the strange triangular heads.

Not having the screwdriver, I use small pliers and a steady hand. Be careful. I really like this Caddy!

John, what are your thoughts on the Caddy? I've been on the fence about one for awhile. Thanks.

Pics: Capone Caddy

The model is well detailed for the money. I was impressed with the number of plated and photo etched parts, the interior is well done and the finish is certainly above standard for this price range.

That being said, the plating was a bit too bright for my tastes, looking more plastic in some places than I would prefer. I believe the picture below are a fair representation of how the model actually looks.

I wasn't expecting MOC or Conquest level finish though. In all fairness, it is really a superb value and I'm probably going to get more of the series....if I can get one of those silly screwdrivers!

Great pics John...does the model have machine gun portholes in the lower glass of the windows as did the real Capone Cadillac? Maybe get the little Dremel drill out.

No, I think they made this one before Al picked his up and made it street-worthy.

I find it strange that Al Cappone has this hold on you guys ....

Let's face it it was a thug, murderer and extorted money from the innocent!
